Dakota Callahan, LCSW

Biography

Dakota is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent many years in the social-services field. After working in a variety of roles, his experiences led him to pursue a career as a mental-health therapist.

He has a passion for helping others and enjoys being around people. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University, participating in their Advanced Standing Social Work program, and his master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Reno, with an emphasis in mental health.

Dakota’s experience spans a variety of treatment settings and populations, including youth wilderness and residential treatment programs, adult inpatient drug rehabilitation, drug court, and working with people who have physical and mental disabilities. These experiences have helped him develop the psychotherapy skills needed to treat a range of mental-health disorders.

In his free time, Dakota enjoys working in his family’s cabinet shop, building furniture, hiking, riding ATVs, and spending time with his wife, two children, and dog.
